Xiaomi has added another model to its Mi TV 4A series of smart TVs in its home market, complete with voice control, enhanced sound, and a thin design. The newest Mi TV 4A model sports a 40-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixel) panel and can be positioned between the 32-inch and 50-inch models of this sequence. The Mi TV 4A collection – and the 4C – offer tv models with thin bezels and smart TV features at very affordable prices compared to Xiaomi’s flagship Mi TV 4 range, which has been launched in India only 2 weeks ago.
The brand new Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 40-inch version has direct type backlight, 178-degree, refresh rate of 60Hz, 5000:1 static contrast ratio, and 8ms lively reaction. Connectivity suite of this new TV is composed of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 + LE, USB (2), HDMI (2), AV (1), analogue signal DTMB (1), and Ethernet. It’s two 8W speakers with Dolby and DTS enhancements.
Coming into the vital features, the new Mi TV 4A 40-inch version supports voice control, so buyers can use the remote using built-in mic to give commands like “shut down after 10 minutes,” or “fast forward to 54 minutes and 21 minutes” to command certain functions without pressing a single button. It’s based on the Android-Based Patchwall UI that the company uses in its other TVs.
As for the specifications, the new Mi TV 4A version packs the 64-bit 1.5GHz Amlogic L962-H8X chip and 750MHz Mali 450 GPU with 1GB RAM, and comes with 8GB of internal storage. In China, the new version is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,500).
A brand new Mi TV 4A model can also be expected to launch in India on Wednesday as Xiaomi has been teasing the launching of a cheap TV from the nation. However, it’s not clear whether it will be the new 40-inch model that the company brings to the marketplace or the smaller 32-inch variant of the same series. Another version, the 43-inch Mi TV 4C, has been also seen a week on the official Xiaomi India site with Rs. 27,999 price tag.
