WhatsApp was recently spotted testing a brand new Forwarding Info feature which will tell users the number of times a message has been plotted, and showed a regularly forwarded label when a message has been forwarded over four occasions. However, the features weren’t allowed until today. It appears that the newest beta build of WhatsApp for Android has introduced the at least one of the qualities through the open beta channel for all testers. Adhering to the WhatsApp beta upgrade (version 2.19.87), we can now see the number of times each message has been forwarded. Furthermore, the update also brings additional traces of this dark manner for WhatsApp, however there isn’t any word when that will arrive with a stable construct.
WhatsApp Forwarding Info
After being spotted as’disabled by default’ at a beta assemble around a week ago, the WhatsApp beta 2.19.87 upgrade has enabled the message ahead info attribute. All users that received the beta upgrade can now see the amount of times each message has been forwarded. But, we found that this information is available only when you are the sender of a message that has been offered to numerous users. This can be assessed by long-pressing the forwarded message and tapping the info icon (‘I’ in a circle) in the top.
But if you’ve received a forwarded message that has been sent to multiple users, you cannot check the number of times it has been forwarded. Moreover, the’often plotted’ label which was spotted recently for messages which were forwarded over four times is nowhere to be seen in the most recent beta build. We can verify both the aforesaid findings after testing it out several times.
WhatsApp Dark Mode
Additionally, WABetaInfo has seen more traces of a dark mode from WhatsApp beta v2.19.87 for Android, after uncovering a few information in the WhatsApp beta (2.19.82) less than a week ago. It seems that dark mode on WhatsApp for Android will inject a black color scheme to the’Profile segment’ too, after a previous discovery that the dark color scheme will be observable on the Status bar once the feature was enabled.
Nonetheless, it appears that the”Request Account Info” and”Two Factory ” are among a few sub-sections that won’t get the dark colour scheme when the dark mode has been enabled, but it might change with the forthcoming beta builds. It’s worth mentioning here that these are just traces seen in the code along with also the dim mode feature has officially been rolled out for beta testers. Right now, there is no word as to if the dark mode will arrive on WhatsApp for Android via a stable or beta update.
