Twitter is testing a home-screen button to help its 326 million users switch the order of the tweets they see, the social network Declared on Thursday.
The micro-blogging platform stated a few of iOS users will probably see a button on the home screen which lets them switch between a display of tweets.
“Sometimes you wish to find the most recent Tweets, first. We are testing a way for one to make it much easier to switch your timeline between the latest and top Tweets.
“Beginning Thursday, a small number of you will observe this test on iOS,” tweeted the provider.
Giving its more than million users control, Twitter in September declared it would totally revert their deadline into a pristine reverse chronological feed.
The micro-blogging platform in 2016 announced that it will only reveal”most significant tweets” and prevent the most recent tweets first that irked many users.
It announced in the coming weeks, it is going to begin testing a”way to switch between a timeline of tweets which are most relevant for you and a timeline of the most recent tweets”.
“We have learned that when showing the best Tweets initially, individuals find Twitter more relevant and useful. However, we have heard feedback from people who, occasionally, prefer to find the most recent tweets,” explained Twitter.
“Our goal with the timeline will be to equilibrium showing you the latest tweets using the best tweets you’re most likely to take care of, but we don’t always get this balance right,” it added.
Twitter has also confirmed it was considering removing the heart-shaped’Like’ button after its CEO Jack Dorsey confessed that he wasn’t a fan and could be getting rid of it”shortly”.
