Swedish caller identification app Truecaller on Wednesday declared that the system has crossed the 100 million mark in terms of daily active users in India.
Using its integrated services such as caller ID, SMSes, instant messaging, video calling and Truecaller Upgrades, the platform currently has more than five lakh premium subscribers and 130 million daily busy users worldwide, the company stated in a announcement .
“India is one of our attention markets and we will continue to expand in the Indian marketplace and incorporate more services to make a robust unified communication platform which simplifies the lives of our customers,” said Alan Mamedi, CEO and Co-Founder, Truecaller.
Every tenth active user in India has linked their bank account to Truecaller Pay and 60% of its customers happen to be experiencing Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for the very first time, the company claimed.
India has over 60% of Truecaller’s international user base.
Last week, intending to supply secure services to the consumers, Truecaller explained all its Indian user data is now hosted in the nation.
With its offices in Bengaluru, Gurugram and Mumbai, more than half of their organization’s employees are from India.
