Chinese consumer electronics Company TCL on Wednesday partnered with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up a Brand New manufacturing Center in Tirupati.
The announcement underlines TCL’s plans to introduce several smart entertainment options in the Indian market to fulfill the evolved entertainment sensibilities of the growing youthful consumer base, the company said in an announcement.
The company is aiming to interrupt the superior home entertainment section by introducing India’s first Google-certified Android QLED TV on Amazon.in.
“Our partnership with the Andhra Pradesh government and the institution of our Tirupati production unit will let us supply Indian consumers with innovative clever TVs driven by the latest cutting-edge QLED and AI technology,” Mike Chen, Country Manager-TCL India, said in a statement.
The announcement marks the company’s long-term vision of building localized capabilities in order to cater to the rising market demand for home entertainment options throughout the country.
The Tirupati unit would enable TCL to actively contribute towards the”Create in India” initiative by producing substantial employment opportunities for the nation’s young workforce.
The company has also tied up with large offline electronics retailers such as Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales, in addition to leading regional channel partners to construct a robust, pan-India sales and distribution channel.
