Reliance Jio, the telecom operator which made its entrance and shook the Indian telecom market, has yet again revised its plans under the Jio Republic Day offer. The company is now offering 50 percent more information at Rs 50 less on its current plans.
All of existing programs that offer 1GB info per day are awakened to provide 1.5GB data every day and the programs that were offering 1.5GB per day will now have 2GB per day limit. This usually means that plans at Rs 149per cent 349, Rs 399 and Rs 449 will have 1.5GB information per day limit with a validity of 28 days, 70 days, 84 days and 91 days respectively. Whereas, the programs at Rs 198, Rs 398per cent 448 and Rs 498 will have 2GB information per day using a validity of 28 days, 70 days, 84 days and 91 days respectively. Each of the aforementioned plans include unlimited calling benefits for both local and national calls.
Jio has also introduced a lesser entry price-point plan at Rs 98. This program offers 56GB data using a FUP limit of 2GB information every day and valid for 28 days.
These plans are launched as a response to Airtel’s paychecks changes, stated the company in a statement. Airtel was vigorously revising its plans to compete with Reliance Jio. Both prepaid plans at Rs 149 and Rs 399 will be the latest ones to be revised.
In terms of the Rs 399 plan, Airtel users receive unlimited local and STD phoning, 100 SMS per day and 1GB 3G/4G information every day for the period of 84 days.
Compared to Airtel’s plans, the now revised Reliance Jio plans offer more information for Rs 149 and Rs 399 by 0.5GB at the exact same respective validity intervals. We are going to have to wait and see just how Airtel will now counter these programs, and given the tendency, that should occur sooner rather than later.
