HMD Global has established a bunch of Nokia-branded smartphones in the last couple of years. While there have been a number of premium-looking handsets such as the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia fans are still awaiting a truly top-end flagship. Meanwhile, the reports of an upcoming Nokia 9 PureView smartphone have been churning from the rumour mills for quite some time now. Now, a fresh leak has hinted at some of the features which we may expect in the handset. According to the latest report, the alleged Nokia 9 PureView was codenamed’Olympic’ and has been spotted running Android 9 Pie.
However, a previous report had promised that the smartphone might not be introduced this season whatsoever and rather launch at MWC 2019 first next season. Several reports from the past have indicated that the smartphone might be called Nokia 9 PureView, particularly after HMD Global obtained the trademark from Microsoft in August. As per a report by LoveNokia, the forthcoming Nokia 9 PureView bears the codename’Olympic; and conducts the latest Android Pie with the most-recent November security limitation.
The Nokia 9 PureView is expected to come with a Penta-camera setup and home an in-display fingerprint sensor. The report claims that the ex-employees who were a part of the imaging division of Nokia, are now a part of HMD Global’s team. The most recent item of data was spotted from the hosts of FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Foxconn, which generates electronic devices for numerous companies.
As per the record, the metadata obtained from the FIH server, Nokia 9 PureView runs Android 9 Pie with build number 00CN_4_030 and November security limitation. LoveNokia notes the smartphone they spotted is a test apparatus of the Chinese version, instead of the final retail variant. The report also provides a screenshot that has been seized from the FIH server, showcasing the five Olympic rings. This is based on previous reports that indicated that the Nokia 9 PureView includes five cameras at the back.
Meanwhile, tipster’Nokia anew’ has published a tweet bringing to light an inner decision within HMD Global. According to the tweet, the company has suggested that fresh Nokia 9 PureView could start a new collection of PureView tablets.
