Nokia 3.1 Plus Starts Receiving Android 9 Pie Update With February Security Patch

Continuing its update streak this month, HMD Global has rolled out the Android 9 Pie update for the Nokia 3.1 Plus smartphone.

The update is now accessible (OTA) and will reach all Nokia 3.1 Plus owners during the next few days. The Nokia 3.1 Plus update comes just days after the company had published the same update for Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 8 telephones. HMD Global is currently close to updating its entire lineup of smartphones to Android 9 Pie.

HMD Global chief product officer Juho Sarvikas announcedthe arrival of the Android Pie update for Nokia 3.1 Plus$ 9,399 on Twitter before now. As all the upgrades are released in batches, not everyone is going to obtain the update immediately. As we mentioned previously, it will take a day or two for the upgrade to reach Nokia 3.1 Plus owners. If you do not want to await the official upgrade notification, you can head over to Settings > About Telephone > Software upgrades to manually check for the upgrade.

The exact size of this Android Pie update is uncertain at this point, nevertheless the Nokia 3.1 Plus update brings new system navigation, updated settings menu, and improvements to notifications.
