Wonder Woman 3 ‘A Contemporary Story’, and No Chris Pine Most Likely

The third Royal Magic Woman movie will be a”contemporary Narrative”, according to director Patty Jenkins, which means it will most likely be set in Current day.

And it may not contain Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, who is unexpectedly returning in the next movie — Wonder Woman 1984, slated to release mid-2020 — after perishing in the first one, the actor has revealed. Wonder Woman 3 will also be the end of Jenkins’ trilogy, as the manager formerly shown.

Warner Bros. has yet to formally announce a third Wonder Woman film — that the second remains more than a year away after all, though it recently finished filming, as celebrity Gal Gadot revealed — but Jenkins already has ideas about what she would like to do with the subsequent one. Discussing with Vanity Fair over the weekend, Jenkins said:”I’ve fairly clear plans for Crystal Woman 3. I have great enthusiasm for that.”

And in another meeting with The Hollywood Reporter at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, in which Jenkins was present to discuss her miniseries, I Am the Night, which also stars Pine, she explained:”I am not dying to do another period piece. It was funny, I read a post today on whether it’d be in the near future or what it’d be. … It’s undoubtedly one of the things we’ve talked about. I am not pining to put it in the past again, because where are you planning to go? I think it would be weird. You need to go forward. It is definitely a contemporary narrative. That’s all I could say. And so, where we put it and how that gets figured out, I haven’t completely nailed down.”

2017’s Wonder Woman was set during World War I, also 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984 is leaping nearly seven years ahead, with its placing in the name. It’will be weird’ to leap back after doing so, as Jenkins says, that explains why she’ll proceed to create Wonder Woman 3 a’contemporary story’. And Steve Trevor probably won’t tag along for this ride, if what Pine is saying is accurate.

“I believe Steve’s done his little… I wish them all the luck in the world,” Pine told Entertainment Tonightover the weekend. For what it is worth, Pine was not assumed to be part of Wonder Woman 1984, but he’s, somehow, so it’s possible that he could reunite for Wonder Woman 3. At precisely the exact same time, we have seen Wonder Woman in the current, as a result of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, and Steve isn’t around in both those movies, which further posits that he is gone for good.

Jenkins was also asked if she would consider helming a Justice League sequel, although she did not rule herself out, she also thinks Warner Bros.. Ought to stay away from the property for a while.

“I find those movies to be extremely hard,” she said. “I think they’re excellent when they are well done, but taking on all those characters at the exact same time and the timeline. I kind of hope that we don’t do a Justice League movie for a little while, because I believe that each one of those characters are really great. I’m super excited to see each of their films. I want to see Aquaman two , and I want to watch Flash. I really don’t understand. I wouldn’t ever say never, but I believe everybody should have a minute to shine right now.”

Rather than the dour attempts featuring the grim Zack Snyder variations of Batman and Supermanthe studio is moving toward a cheerier future, one which also has more girls at the middle. Besides Wonder Woman, we have Shazam!
