iOS 12.1.2 Update With Bug Fixes for eSIM Activation on 2018 iPhone Models

Unlike some of the recent versions, the latest iOS update does not incorporate any noticeable modifications but comes with few bug fixes to enhance the experience. It also allegedly contain software tweaks to address the ongoing patent battle with Qualcomm, especially in China. Notably, the iOS 12.1.2 upgrade is limited to iPhone models only.
The update also addresses a problem that could impact cellular connectivity in Turkey specifically on all of the 2018 iPhone models.

Apple’s formal service page which lists its security upgrades confirms that iOS 12.1.2 doesn’t have any published CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) entries. However, as per a previous Reuters report, the latest software update comprises software tweaks from China to address”any possible concern” about Apple’s compliance with a court order that banned the sales of its elderly iPhone models.

Last week, Qualcomm said in a statement that a Chinese court had ordered a ban on sales of several older iPhone versions for violating two of its patents. The list of concerned iPhone models comprised all older by the iPhone 6s$19,499 through the iPhone X.

Moreover, the two Qualcomm patents which were taken under consideration from the court were allegedly related to switching between programs and resizing and reformatting photographs before setting them as a background.
