Honor 8 Pro users are Now Getting the Most Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 update in India.

The update is rolling out in stages, and it brings together the March 2019 Android security update too. The Honor 8 Pro premiered in 2017, and it came with Android Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 out-of-the-box. Some of those highlight features on the smart phone will be its dual camera set up, a huge 4000mAh battery, along with an impressive 6GB of RAM.

The size of this Honor 8 Pro Android Pie update is 3.49GB. People who registered in the beta programme get an update of just 343MB size. The upgrade is rolling out via over-the-air and consumers can check manually by heading into Settings >About Phone >System Update.

The changelog suggests that the Honor 8 Pro gets a new port, natural audio system, simplified preferences, AI object recognition, smart shopping through AR scanning, and password vault. Additionally, it attracts Huawei Share 3.0 that improves file transfer rate between the phone, computer, and the printer. The upgrade also makes launching times of popular programs quicker, and provides ViLTE support.

If you are a non-beta user, we recommend you download the upgrade over strong Wi-Fi signs and while the phone is on charge. Prior to updating, please make sure there is enough storage area for the update bundle on either the microSD card along with the internal storage prior to proceeding with the upgrade. Free storage space can be assessed under system Settings >Storage.
